Tres Mundos Gallery of Nostalgia

Welcome to our World!   "Tres Mundos" (spanish): "Three Worlds"

About Us: We grew-up in two different worlds, my hubby and I.  While my early days were spent exploring the wooded farmland of the Northeastern United States on horseback, collecting Breyer Horses and antique bottles, teaching myself guitar, singing folk songs and turning out a wide assortment of arts & crafts, he was enjoying homemade tortillas, Mariachi music, family fiestas and the ancient cultural heritage of Northern Mexico.  But we shared some common threads even then; a love of nature, art, music...and American Television.  Ultimately, God saw fit to bring these two crazy souls together from opposite ends of a continent and we now live happily ever after in the warm and whimsical world of nostalgia!

Our Mission:  We seek to indulge the child and the dreamer in all who long for another time and place.  We wish to preserve a bit of the past while enhancing your world with "neat" and beautiful things.

Our Passion: We love to search out and rescue treasures from the past, as well as to create heirlooms for the future, and then pass them on to those who will similarly cherish them for their aesthetic, sentimental, historic and investment value.

Browse through our virtual "Antique Shop" featuring an eclectic selection of treasures & trinkets from the past, including antique and vintage furniture, glassware, dinnerware, figurines, dolls, toys, books, linens, jewelry, clothing and accessories, as well as a variety of odds and ends that defy classification!  If you don’t see what you’re looking for just drop us a line to let us know what you’re interested in.  After all, we love the challenge of the hunt!

Take a stroll down memory lane in our "Hall of Fame" where you'll encounter a fantastic cast of characters and terrific assortment of memorabelia from classic TV and the Big Screen.  Fabulous figurines, statues, model kits, toys, books, magazines, comics, and more fill the walls of this virtual museum  dedicated to the host of heroes, villians, and beloved cartoon characters that filled our childhood imagination and continue to live-on in our memories and personal collections!

What would our world be without the creative expressions that have nourished the human soul throughout the ages?  Art is a magical window through which we can visit worlds that once were or soar boldly into a fantastic future.  It illuminates the inner world of emotion and ideas and brings the elusive world of the imagination to life!  View an intruiging collection of original artistic creations in our "Art Gallery".  I also do custom work, so let me know if you have a vision you would like to see gracing your wall for all to share!

I am so excited to be introducing my own line of "Designer Jewelry" featuring an enchanting mix of whimsical pewter animal and nature beads and charms, gorgeous hand-blown glass lampwork beads, beautiful antique & vintage beads, crystals and findings from all over the world, fabulous hand-crafted ceramic, porcelain and blown glass beads and pendants, colorful semi-precious gemstone beads,  awesome contemporary clasps and findings and all sorts of other cool stuff!  I have personally sought-out and hand-selected each individual design element to create a unique and stunning piece of wearable art destined to become one of your favorites!

Disclaimer:   All merchandise we sell is intended for collection and/or use by adults only.  Please be aware that antique and vintage items, works of fine art, crafts and jewelry may contain materials and/or parts that could present a health and/or safety hazard for young children (eg. lead-based paint and/or small parts etc.)  Therefore we do not market to minors and do not recommend that our products be purchased for use by children.

A Word About Condition: Antiques and Collectibles, by their very nature, generally show some signs of wear (even items in "mint" condition can have some minor factory flaws).  Since describing "condition" can be quite a subjective matter, and difficult at best, the following "Condition Guide" is provided to clarify, as closely as possible, our personal standards:

Mint in Box/Package: Item is as produced by the factory and in its original packaging (boxed items may have been carefully removed solely for inspection and photographing).  Some minor "factory flaws" may be present but no signs of wear or damage.

Mint: Item is as produced by the factory as above but without its original packaging.

Near Mint: Item appears to be in nearly perfect condition but may have some very minor irregularities or flaws that prevent us, in good conscience, from classifying it as "Mint".  We will also sometimes list items as "near mint" rather then "mint" simply to "err on the side of caution" (i.e. just in case there may be some minor flaw that we might have missed).

Excellent: Item may have a few minor signs of wear that are not readily noticeable and don't affect its general appearance but no significant wear or damage.

Good: Item has some flaws or signs of wear but still an attractive piece.

Fair: Item has noticeable signs of wear or some damage, as described.

Poor: While we try not to offer items in poor condition, sometimes a piece is so rare, highly collectible, quaint or interesting that we have decided to include it in our inventory.

Special Categories: Certain items such as "primitive", "rustic" or "country" collectibles typically exhibit considerable wear or even some obvious damage.  However, because such wear is characteristic of these pieces, and is even considered to contribute to their "charm", such pieces would probably not be rated as "poor" but rather "good" or "average" for their category.  The condition of such pieces will be described as accurately as possible and should be visible in the photos.

Classification by Age:  While officially an item must be at least 100 years old to be considered a true "Antique", this definition has broadened considerably in today's market.  I tend to think of items produced up through the 1920's as "Antique" ("Edwardian" and "Flapper" clothing & fashion accessories, "Art Nouveau" and "Arts & Crafts" style furniture and home decor for example), while those from the 1930s through the 1970s I generally classify as "Vintage".  Items produced more recently are typically classified here as "Collectibles".
